Mr de Gans is currently a Teacher Candidate at the University of Northern British Columbia finishing his Education Degree. Back in 2015, Mr de Gans graduated from the University of Alberta in 2015 with his Bachelor of Kinesiology and majoring in Coaching. He wishes to give back to the sport any way he can.
Mr. de Gans has been coaching Lacrosse for the past 15 years. Tony’s Coaching experience starts back in B.C coaching Minor Box Lacrosse from 2007 to 2011. That passion for the game is still very evident, Tony’s Senior year playing junior lacrosse in 2008, ended early with him injuring his knees and forcing his skills behind the bench of his Jr Team and kick started his Coaching career as a full time ambition.
Mr de Gans has continued to strive to achieve the highest coaching certifications applied in lacrosse with competition development. Tony moved to Edmonton in 2013 to finish his Kinesiology degree and started coaching Junior B and Junior A Lacrosse in Alberta. In 2014, Tony finished his studies at U of A and moved on to Vimy Ridge Academy and started full time Coaching as a profession from 2014 -2019 while coaching at Both Donnan Elementary and Vimy Ridge Academy in the Lacrosse Program. In 2019 Tony moved back to his hometown of Prince George, B.C to further his education and become a Teacher while Coaching in PGMLA.
Mr d’s favorite activities include: hockey, lacrosse, golfing, fishing, cross country skiing and spending time with family and friends
